Anita will give a give a briefing on the Millennium Campaign and on opportunities to participate in the Stand Against Poverty mobilization. On October 16-18, 2009, for the fourth year in a row, millions of people around the world will Stand Up and Take Action to show their support for the fight against poverty. Last October, 116 million people participated in over a thousand Stand Up events around the world. They again shattered the Guinness World Record for the largest number of people to take action for a social cause within a set time period.
